- What is the subjection bar or labret ?
The subjection bar or labret is the piece, usually a bar with a flat disc at the end, on which the chosen top is screwed (in the case of threaded tops) or inserted (in the case of threadless / push pin tops).
The labret is the part that goes into the piercing.
It is important that the labret adapts to the area where the piercing is located and that it is not excessively long (except for recent piercings where it is always good for the labret to be a little longer) , to avoid possible snags and damage to the piercing.
